    What awful weather

"used to say that you think that something is especially good, bad, etc. What awful weather! What a beautiful house!"

Why have they not used indefinite article "an" before awful weather. I got the excerpt from Oxford Dictionary. Thanks in advance

    Re: What awful weather

In those contexts, weather is uncountable and house is countable.
