Keep your ID card with you

    Hi,

    Which one is correct?

Keep your ID card/mobile phone with you OR yourself.

    I think "with you".

Re: Keep your ID card with you

Yourself is commonly used instead of you by speakers who think it's a posh form of the word and don't really understand it. It is a case where learners should trust their instincts and understanding over wannabe pompous native speakers without much knowledge of grammar.
