    When the bus with tourists

I am not sure if my sentence sounds natural. Do I need the word "already? Would you please correct my mistakes?

When the bus with tourists arrived at the port, the boat had already been waiting for them to take them out to the island.

Re: When the bus with tourists

You could say "was already waiting" or "had already been waiting for xxx" (period of time).

Re: When the bus with tourists

If you want to keep the rest of the information from your original, then just say "When the bus full of tourists arrived at the port, the boat was already waiting to take them to the island".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
