    The peasant snapped

I am wondering if my sentence sounds natural. Would you please correct my mistakes?

1.The peasant snapped the reins and the cart lurched forward, its wheels squeaking and creaking as two old horses pulled it down the dusty road.

Or maybe my sentence would be better like this?

2.The peasant snapped the reins and the cart lurched forward. Its wheels squeaked and creaked as the two old horses pulled it down the dusty road.

    Re: The peasant snapped

I'm happy with both of them. You have a typo in sentence #2 though. Can you see it?
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    emsr,
    Thank you for your help.
I type quickly and sometimes I make mistakes.
    It should be:
    The cart lurched forward.
