    comes all the way

    Are these sentences right?

I am scheduled to attend a training program the last week of August. But my aunt from Shanghai will be visiting me that week. Please permit me to attend the October training program so that I can spend more time with my aunt since she comes all the way from Shanghai.

    Re: comes all the way

For the 3rd sentence, I would just say:
Therefore, I would like to seek your kind permission to attend the training program in October instead of August as originally scheduled. Thank you.

I don't think you need to say you want to spend more time with your aunt.
    I am not a teacher.
