    Re: effects of the drug

'Of' is a preposition in 'The after-effects of the drug are very bad'.

    Re: effects of the drug

A preposition is a word that links a noun, pronoun, or noun phrase to some other part of the sentence.

I am not able to find a link here.

    for example,

The ball is under the table.

under links 'the ball' to 'the table'.

But here, it is tough for me.

    Re: effects of the drug

The link is that the after-effects come from the drug.

    Re: effects of the drug

I took ' after effects of drug' as one subject. effects is a noun. I didn't think of it. okay, it is clear now.

See my corrections above. Don't put a space after an opening quotation mark. Surround quoted text in quotation marks or put it in italics and remember to capitalize the first letter of each sentence.

    Re: effects of the drug

In my opinion, "of" in this sentence shows possession (not literal possession, of course - a drug can't "own" anything).

    The after-effects of the drug = The drug's after-effects.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
