PC culture let vote fraud in Muslim areas flourish

    Hello,

The following lines, extracted from Dailymail, are vague for me especially the grammar structures that have been used in them. I'm predicting some of you would say that "titles" have their own specific grammar structure. I know that but the following title seems extremely hard for me. would you please simplify or rephrase it?

PC culture let vote fraud in Muslim areas flourish: Police, election watchdog and council lambasted for ignoring evidence because of over-sensitivity about ethnicity

    Regards,

Could you identify the title that you're referring to? I don't think you mean "titles", since there's no instance of the word "title" or "titles".

    See the link below:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ethnicity.html

You will see the title of the news as I quoted it here.

Re: PC culture let vote fraud in Muslim areas flourish

That's a very unusually long title.

In areas that have a predominance of Muslims, there is a high level of voter fraud. This occurs partly because, in "politically correct" societies such as most in the west, the authorities are hesitant to be portrayed as bigots who pick on Muslims. Hence, these areas are less well policed. The wider society lambasts these authorities for their attitude.

Your article is from the Daily Mail Australia, though it refers to areas in London.

Does PC stand for "politically correct"? I thought it was a computer desktop I was thinking about fraud via computer devices.

Yes, PC is "politically correct" in this case. It's a common abbreviation if the context fits.
