Time moved on and what was 'Now' back then has become P (an event in the past). Assume 'Now' I am discussing what was discussed back then (event P). Does the sentence below sound right?

Remember, I told you not to worry about event B, as even before it could cause any harm, event A would have triggered and prevented event B from occurring in the first place.
