    guys

Is there any problem with the following usage of the word guys?

Talking to a little boy and a little girl fighting: Guys! Guys! Stop. Why are you fighting?
Talking to a husband and wife: Hey, I'm throwing a party next Saturday and I was wondering if you guys would like to come.

Talking to wife and kids: I'm off to work. See you guys later.

    Re: guys

That word is often used that way. We don't say "guy" to refer to a woman or girl, but we often use "guys" to refer to a mixed group.

    Re: guys

I have been known to address an all-female group of my friends as "guys". I also use "girls" when I'm with them or talking about them despite the fact that most people would certainly claim that our age excludes us from that description!

Sorry, but I don't quite get what you mean by that.

Ems is saying that she sometimes refers to her friends as "girls", although they are not girls anymore (due to their age) as some of them would certainly claim.
Please, correct all my mistakes. I should know English perfectly and if you show me my mistakes I will achieve my dream a little bit faster. A lot of thanks.

    Re: guys

Is it okay for a 6 year old boy to refer to his little sister and mother as guys? Like Come on, guys. Let's go. Dad's waiting.

Or should he say Come on, girls. Let's go. Dad's waiting.

    Re: guys

If that's common usage in their family, I don't see a problem.
