Internet use in a bad way.

"The good people use the internet in a positive way but the bad people use it the other way. They use it in a bad way (to commit crimes)."

    Please check.

    See above.

Re: Internet use in a bad way.

Sometimes I come across sentences on the Internet where the word "Internet" starts with a capital leter. How should I write it?

Please, correct all my mistakes. I should know English perfectly and if you show me my mistakes I will achieve my dream a little bit faster. A lot of thanks.

    You can please yourself.

My guess is that 'internet' will eventually become the norm.

Re: Internet use in a bad way.

I've used the lower case "i" for "internet" for as long as I can remember.

Re: Internet use in a bad way.

It's a new area and the usage is still not fixed, but the lower case version seems to be winning out. Ten years ago, some people were arguing that ten emails was wrong because mail was uncountable. You don't hear that argument much nowadays. The internet has created a lot of new language- it can take a while to create a consensus about usage.

Various style guides have changed their recommendation over the years. Most recently, the Associated Press press syndicate switched from upper to lower case.
