Carry out / Conduct / Realize

    Hi everyone,

My name is Mathias and I'm trying to set my linkedin profile in English, I would need an advice.

How is the most professional way to say that I did seismic analysis. It don't want a sentence but something that I can use in a list...

    Here are my main ideas:
    - Realization of seismic analysis
    - Carrying out of seismic analysis
    - Conduction of seismic analysis

    Have a nice day!

See corrections above. Note also that if you're referring to the past, use "carried out" and "conducted" instead of "carrying out" and "conducting" respectively.

Re: Carry out / Conduct / Realize

    Super, thank you!

So, here is exactly the list I want to use, do you think it is correct?

    INDUSTRIAL AND RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
    - Design of reinforced concrete elements of high-rise buildings (up to 30 storeys),
    - Discussion with the architects to agree on realistic solutions,
    - Carrying out seismic analysis,
    - Carrying out cost estimates,
    - Conducting of building performance analysis,

    - Management of interns from different nationalities.

    Thanks again,

    Mathias.

Usually we use verbs and not noun phrases. Pretend all of these start with "I" and then write them.

    - Performed seismic analysis
    - Calculated cost estimates
    - Conducted building performance analysis (Can you say "Analyzed building performance" instead? Is that the same thing?)
    - Managed interns from different nationalities (Can you say "Managed multi-national team of interns"? Is that correct?)
(Don't bold them in your profile - I just put the verbs in bold to show you what I mean.)
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Re: Carry out / Conduct / Realize

    Thanks everyone!

Ok, now I have exactly what I want to write, could someone just check it a last time pleaaaaase :) ?

    ---------

With a high level of education, I am experienced in using Eurocodes and new design techniques (finite element analysis and structural analysis software).

I have worked on different design projects in France and Ireland and my experience varies from multi-storey buildings to bridges. I have also been responsible for carrying out building performance analysis and cost estimates.

Polyvalent and eager to learn, I am always looking for next opportunity to excel in a challenging and dynamic work environment.

    1st experience (blablabla...) list:
    ► INDUSTRIAL & RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
    - Responsible of structural design (formworks, reinforced concrete, steel, timber & masonry structures),
    - Consulted with the architects to agree on realistic solutions,
    - Carried out building performance analysis,
    - Managed multi-national team of interns.

    ► REPAIR OF STEEL STRUCTURES
    - Created models and performed analysis of complex steel structures through new generation software in order to localise weaknesses and strengthen them.

    2nd experience (blablabla...) list:
► LINK BRIDGE DESIGN (GENZYME IRELAND LTD)
    - Created a model of the structure with Robot Structural Analysis,
    - Designed the steel connections,
    - Designed the foundations.

► PHARMACEUTICAL - INDUSTRIAL EXTENSION DESIGN (MSD IRELAND)
    - Created a model of the structure with Robot Structural Analysis,
    - Designed the steel structure,
    - Designed the foundations.

    3rd experience (blablabla...) list:
► ECO-DISTRICT DESIGN (LA CARTOUCHERIE, TOULOUSE)
    - Designed reinforced concrete elements of high-rise (up to 15-storey) buildings ,
    - Performed seismic analysis,
    - Calculated cost estimates.

    Thanks in advance!

Re: Carry out / Conduct / Realize

Please note that Barb_D's reply uses the past simple tense, which is okay if you are referring to your past experience. Otherwise, if you're referring to your present job, use the present simple (take out the "ed" from the verbs).

Ok ok I understand. All those above are past experiences.

Does this mean all it is correct?

    Mathias. Unnecessary.
Note my corrections above. You can write "OK" or "okay" but not "ok".

If they are all things you did in a job you no longer do, the past tense is appropriate in each one.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
