    dump something with something?

    Hi,

    1. 'Don't dump the house with unnecessary things.'
    2. 'Don't dump unnecessary things in the house.'

    Are both of them correct?

    Thanks.

A natural form for (1) would be, "Don't clutter the house with unnecessary things".

    Re: dump something with something?

"Dump" is not a good word to use and it implies the things are brought in in a big load and dropped in the house, as in dumping rubbish.

I would say: Don't accumulate unnecessary things in the house.
    I am not a teacher.
