Some phrasal verbs with "down"

Hello. Could you help me with some phrasal verbs with similar meanings. (at least I think they have similar meanings)
Write down, take down, get down, note down.
My dictionaries don't give me the clear understanding of difference between them. All these words mean - make a record for future reference. For example: Write down the address, or Get down the phone number, or Not down a kitchen recipe etc. So, What the difference? I hope you help me solve this problem.
