    best/ the best for people

    Hello, dear forum users!

    1. At which age do you think itís the best for people to have a family?
    2. At which age do you think itís best for people to have a family?

Which of these sentences is correct?
According to grammar rules I realize comparative forms must be used with ''the'', but I often see things like ''do what is best for you'' , ''what do you like most'', ''which style of yoga is best for you?'' over the internet.
How to differ when to omit it?

Of the two, I would use #2.

Is it acceptable to say 'What do you think is the best age to have a family?'

Yes, but that is changing the construction.

It would be more natural to say at what age. "Which" suggests the speaker has a set of ages in mind; what is open-ended.
    I am not a teacher.
