Please help me improve the following lighting improvement report. Thank you.

The lighting system at the cycling area is currently aged and unstable, which resulted in the occurrence of frequent blackout mainly caused by the short circuit fault throughout the year. We have been receiving deep concerns and strong requests from the member of public and a District Mayor, Mr. Green for the urgent improvement of the decrepit lighting system to ensure public safety in the cycling area. Having discussed with the Technical Division for months, an improvement work has been initiated and the estimated cost for the above work is $2,000,000.

Indeed, the current lighting system has been serving for the cycling area whose area being 0.8 hectare since the opening of the playground and has never endured a significant improvement during the past years. After lengthy discussions with the Technical Division, an improvement work on the aged lighting system has been initiated, which includes to fix up the fault lighting circuits of the lamp posts by re-wiring the cable power line, conducting a new cable ductwork from the existing switch room to the lamp posts position through laying on the planter area and re-routing the new cable ductwork power line with the construction of a number of new stainless steel cable pit.

In order to provide adequate and stable lighting to the cycling area and ensure the public safety there, an improvement work on the aged system appears to be necessary and imminent.
