Can I say " I wish future generations do not(instead of will not) lose it", like "I hope future generations don't lose it" ?

Thankyou.

That's even more unnatural.

But, I wish you teach me more. This is correct, right?

No, it isn't.

'I wish you would teach me more.'

'I hope you will teach me more.'

  1. You suggested that using 'would' is not natural to Matthew's response. But, in "I wish (that) you would come to Prague next year", would is used. Please clarify it for me.
  2. Is "I wish you come to Prague next year" wrong?

So, "I wish the future generations would not lose it" is the correct one. Right? But it was suggested that it sounded unnatural. So, what is the best way of putting it?
And, Isn't "I hope you teach more" is more commonly used and correct as well?

'I wish you the best' - here, we are expressing the desire, right?
Doesn't wish also mean what we desire? In which case, "I wish the future generations would not lose it" is correct.

Thank you.

I think it is grammatical but unnatural, as I write such sentences every now and then.

So I suspect that it doesn't sound natural to you but could be grammatical to others.
