Your understanding probably wasn't helped by the fact that he pronounced "th" as "f" (relatively common) so it sounded like "deaf bed"!
He is clearly not a native English speaker. "At the end of your deathbed" is not natural. We might say "When you're on your deathbed" or simply "On your deathbed". He also omits "for" after "asking" about three times.
