Hello,

I would be really grateful if you could tell me the difference b/w good and nice in the following context:
He is a nice teacher or he is a good teacher.(Does that mean he is a kind and polite teacher vs he is good at teaching?)
He is a nice guy or he is a good guy.(I can't find any difference here.)

I have highlighted my understanding in parentheses. I am not certain whether I am correct or not.

Thank you for your help and review.

A nice teacher could be friendly and kind, but not necessarily very good at teaching. The same is true of the second- a good guy could be reliable and trustworthy, but not particularly friendly or good company.

Nice means likable. Good means effective.

I think a good teacher could be severe rather than nice.

He is a nice guy or he is a good guy.(I can't find any difference here.)

The two terms can be more interchangeable here, unlike the teacher example.
