Sense of friendship/cooperation Or Spirit of frienship/cooperation

    Hello,

I would really like someone to help me identify what is the difference b/w "spirit of " and "sense of" in the following :

A: There was a spirit of cooperation between the two sides.
B: There was a sense of cooperation between the two sides.

A: There was a spirit of friendship between us.
B: There was a sense of friendship between us.

Thank you for your consideration and time.

Spirit implies that the participants made a conscious choice. Sense means that an observer noticed it.
