British Queens / The British Queens

If '(The) British Queens' is a title of a book, should we use the article?
If I were a native speaker of English, I would never shut up. :-)

Yes, at least the first time you refer to it. Later references can shorten the title to British Queens or even Queens.

Not necessarily. In my view, "British Queens" is acceptable as the title of a book. It just means that the book is about some (not all) of the British queens.

In the text, you can also use "British queens" without the definite article. For example,
"British queens never led their own armies."

Not necessarily. In fact I think it's better (and more likely) without The.
