    Hello Teachers,

It all started after we shifted to Singapore

    OR

It all started after we HAD shifted to Singapore

WHICH ONE IS CORRECT AND WHY?

    Thanks and regards,

    Re: usage of HAD

The time marker 'after' has already established the sequence, so both the simple past and the past perfect are correct.
    I am not a teacher.

    Re: usage of HAD

I find the use of "shifted" unnatural there, in BrE at least. I would say "It all started after we moved to Singapore".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
