"The explanations were added to the abstract and highlighted."

    Hi,
I have an article. The reviewers have mentioned some problems and I corrected them. Now I am going to report them. I have some questions.
The abstract wasn't perfect. I added some more information to it. OK. How should I report this? "The explanations were added to the abstract and highlighted."
    Please improve my sentence.
Please correct my mistakes if you encounter any.

    Try,
"I've made the suggested amendments to the abstract and highlighted them."

Thanks. But I should change it to the passive form. The subject "I" is not true, actually. We are 5 writers and each part belongs to one.

The active form is rather less clunky. Just change I to we.
