What is "Bedullus " in the following sentence?

    Thanks

"......the Bedullus put the collar around my neck and I was given my parchment."

    Re: Bedullus

    Hello Mikephd

I can't find it in an English or Latin dictionary; but to judge by the web page in question, it appears to be a modern Latin term, based on bedellus, that denotes a university official (some kind of "beadle").

    All the best,

    MrP
