    got their money’s worth

    Hello everyone,

    https://news.google.com/newspapers?n...8,454305&hl=ru

Many receive a criticism and think it is fine; think they got their money’s worth; think well of the teacher for it, and then go on with their work just the same as before. That is the reason much of the wisdom of Plato is still locked up in the pages of Plato.

What does the phrase in question mean in this particular context?

Does it mean that the money you pay your teacher are not wasted because your teacher criticizes you?

    Thank you.

    Re: got their money’s worth

Only in this context does it have anything to do with criticism. Normally, it simply means that you thought what you got was worth what you paid for it.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
