to the fury of taxi drivers everywhere

I don't get the meaning of a prepositional phrase(to + noun) of this sentence.
"Its app can summon a car in moments in more than 425 cities around the world, to the fury of taxi drivers everywhere."
I know the meaning of the part before the to-noun phrase, global availability of Uber, a ride-hailing service.
What exactly does "to... everywhere" mean by?

Re: to the fury of taxi drivers everywhere

You could replace it with ,which makes taxi drivers everywhere furious.

"I saw a man with a gun. To my horror, he shot me!"
"To the girl's surprise, she got a pony for her birthday."
"The team lost, to their fans' disappointment."
