    film Cameosis

The practice of using the military for film Cameosis, not without its critics, such as former Navy SEAL Harry Humphries.

    Hi,
I ran across the above in a report from CNN Student News. What does film Cameosis refer to? Thanks,

    Re: film Cameosis

It's a typo. They meant film cameos, that is, appearances in films without being credited.

It would work for me like this:

The practice of using the military for film cameos is not without its critics, such as former Navy SEAL Harry Humphries.
