    What about me?/How about me?

    ...help, please! :)

What is/are the difference/s between "What about me?" and "How about me?" as far as their usage is concerned? Can they be used interchangeably (at all times) or exclusively depending on a given situation? (Thanks a lot!)

They're often interchangeable, but I would be more likely to use 'how about' when proposing myself and 'what about' when I feel excluded.
