    Question No or not?

    Hi I would like to know the rule for using "no" or "not" in English... I already made the test, and even though I did it well enough, I have not idea of when is what... for example, in the phrase: " Time and tide wait for no man.... " is this way right or wrong?

    no man = nobody
    not man = not human
