Do you know how to decide whether to use "many" or "much"? There is a rule. Is it not covered in your classes or your grammar book?

I'm confusing whether using "many" and "much" in any sentences.
Please tell me. Thank you!

Can you count the items you are referring to? Then use "many". Example, "...too many books".
If you cannot count the thing, use "much". Example, "...too much sand".

I tried to make a sentence as follows. Please help me to check it. Thanks!
- Comma splice.

I have read [STRIKE]too[/STRIKE] (so) many [STRIKE]/too much[/STRIKE] books in the past few months, but I haven't noticed any improvement with my [STRIKE]d at[/STRIKE] English writing and reading. I always make [STRIKE]made[/STRIKE] too many [STRIKE]/too much[/STRIKE] mistakes [STRIKE]in the[/STRIKE] when writing a sentence.
- Difference between "too" and "many."
- Linking clauses with a coordinating conjunction.
- Tense.

See corrections above. I highlighted some problem areas and provided some links for you to read up on some points. :)

I'm confused and don't know [STRIKE]ing[/STRIKE] whether to use [STRIKE]ing[/STRIKE] "many" [STRIKE]and[/STRIKE] or "much" in [STRIKE]any[/STRIKE] a sentence.
See the link my post above.

Also, note the difference between "-ed" and "-ing" adjectives. The former "-ed" are often used to indicate a result of some action or indicate a feeling (emotion). The latter "-ing" are used to describe something which causes a result/an emotion.

E.g.,
She's excited. [ She has a feeling of excitement. She feels excited.]
She's exciting. [ She excites other people.]
