    I'll hold that for you, shall I?

    I'll hold that for you, shall I? (Practical English Usage, page 472, by Michael Swan)

    In the above sentence, is I'll the contraction of I shall?
    I need native speakers' help.

    The question tag suggests this, but I shall hold that for you, shall I? is not natural. If we were to expand the contraction, it would be I will. I think this is one of those occasions when the 'shall I?' tag is used rather arbitrarily, as it is in Let's go, shall we?

    For me, will I might sound sarcastic or a way of expressing that the person isn't going to do it, while shall I sounds more like an offer.
