    I got in his face

I have a friend [who/which] lives alone and has gone into [considerable/considerate][debt/doubt] in order to [afford/offend] a large four-bedroom home. Before he bought the home, I got in his face and [challenged/challinging] him about wanting (A)so / such a big place, but he replied [that/what] he needed the extra bedrooms [because/due to] he needed somewhere to put his furniture. He freely [admitted/admitting] that he rarely used the furniture, so I asked [why he didn't sell/why didn't he sell] some of (B)it / them and get a smaller home, thus [saving/saved] a great deal of money. He replied [that/what] he [had spent/spent] a [fortune/fortell] for the furniture, and if he sold it now he couldn't recover anything like [what it was worth/what was it worth]. The sad reality is (C)that / what now he is having to work sixty hours a week [in order to/in order that] make his payments.

Does "I got in his face " mean "condemn or blame someone"?

No. It means to confront them.
