    file/portfolio?

What would you name or call that file/portfolio students carry it to the school every day? They keep their worksheets in it.

    Re: file/portfolio?

I can't speak for students these days but I had no such thing when I was at school. I carried textbooks and exercise books in my school bag/satchel.

    They're called school-bags.

    Re: file/portfolio?

I assumed the OP was talking about some kind of file containing worksheets (which are presumably single sheets of paper) which would then potentially be carried in a school-bag.

    Re: file/portfolio?

If it's full of worksheets, then it could be a folder or a ring binder. I'd only use portfolio for those huge cases that people studying art carry.
