other types of business draw ever closer to customers

    Dear friends,

I'm reading and translating a text about smart products and smart makers from the Economist. Here is the link:

    http://www.economist.com/news/busine...-new-one-which

"The rapid rise of Uber and Airbnb suggests that it is foolish to underestimate the speed of the digital revolution. If they dawdle, manufacturers will be left behind as other types of business draw ever closer to customers"

I wonder about the meaning of "draw" here. Does it mean the same as "become closer to customers"?

    Thanks

    I'd say come or get.
