    a ride / test run / test-drive

    Hello everybody!

Which of the words fit best to describe the way hatch covers ride on the rail-track on ships: a ride / test run / test-drive?

Hatch covers are used to protect big cargo holds (hatches, to be precise) and may also be equipped with wheels.

Does a test run involve a hatch cover being rolled on rails on ships?

Could you answer those two questions of mine?

    Thank you.

    Please help me.
