Student or Learner
Are these sentences correct?
I will not be able to attend the company's dinner next Saturday as I will be volunteering that evening. We are bringing the seniors to a concert that evening.
I am not a teacher.
I would use "taking" instead of "bringing" in that context.
Depending on your audience, you might have to clarify "seniors". I don't know if you meant "students from senior school" (aged between 12 and 18) or "old people".
Like Teechar, I would use "taking".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
We would also have to know which group of seniors to justify the use of the definite article. If the listener doesn't know, then something like some/a group of would work better for me.
