    Get out of (the) bed

    Hi,

    'Get out of (the) bed.'

I cannot decide if I should use 'the' or not. Could you please tell me which one is OK?

    Thanks.

It depends on the context. With "the", you're referring to a specific bed.
The usual expression is without "the."

An exasperated mother might also tell her teenaged son, Get out of that bed right now! "That bed" means the bed I'm pointing at/looking at/thinking about.
    I am not a teacher.

If you want to carry the meaning of getting up, and there's nothing special about the bed, don't use the article.
