I am refuse a new job and write a message to the employer. Please help to correct the message to be more polite and feel comfortable.
I am apologize that i will not come to work at your company as I have another job offer. Thank you for your kindness, hope we have opportunity in the future.
I am not a teacher.
I prefer 'I regret' to 'I am sorry'. To me, 'regret' is courteous enough, but dispenses with the unnecessary idea of apology that I associate with 'I am sorry'.
The difference that I feel holds, I think, only in writing. In speech, except in formal speech, 'I regret' sounds rather stuffy in a context such as this.
