    Hi!should I say thanks for the complements or complement if someone praises me.

    The singular is usually more appropriate.

    Neither.

    There is a big difference between "complement" (the word you used) and "compliment" (the word you should have used). Check them in your dictionary.

    Whether you use the singular or the plural might depend on how many compliments they gave you.

    There is a clear difference, but this is a common mistake among native speakers too.
