There are major alliances taking place

    Hi,

I would like to know if the phrase below is grammatically correct or makes any sense?

So far, thatís only happened in Thailand, and all indications are there are major alliances taking place between Bitcoin and Wall Street and the rise of the crypto currency may already be too high to stop.

So many times I've encounter these sentences in a section of a pdf file wish I really don't know where they came from.

Thanks of being patient with me.

I'd add "that", and one "comma" after "Wall Street" as indicated, otherwise it looks OK.

Why do you have a PDF containing loads of unconnected random sentences?
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

It was such an English exam. Though I think that they have chosen the worst phrases ever.

I see that here too; especially at private institutions teaching English. Their material is often riddled with grammatical errors and nonsense sentences.

I could say the same about some of the materials produced by university professors that I have seen. Materials produced by such leading British publishers as CUP, Heinemann, Longman, Macmillan, OUP etc are generally sound. Online and school-produced materials range from extremely good to appalling.

(There are also, of course, some very sound American publishers, but I am not so familiar with them.)
