    Each book was different colour.

    "Each book was a different colour."

    "Every book was a different colour."

    "All the books were different colours."

    "Each book had different colour."

    "Each book was of different colour."

    Please check.

    I have marked them right/wrong as appropriate above. The last one would be OK if you added the indefinite article after "of".
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
