jigsaw puzzles - I want to do / make the house

Parent: Let's do some jigsaw puzzles!

    Child: Alright!

Parent: Which would you like to do?

    Child:

    1. I want to do the house!
    2. I want to make the house!

I've been told you can only do puzzles, but could number 2 also be correct in this case?
    Not a teacher.

Only 'do' is natural. Of course you say 'make' if you want.
