    Re: Talking excessively is acknowledged awful to/in bible

    In the Bible, talking excessively is considered/deemed [to be] awful.

    I don't think the word "awful" was around in those days, though. What exactly does the Bible say about talking excessively. Note that "the Bible" requires a capital "B".
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    I don't remember that sin. This is the closest I can find:

    Ephesians 4:29
    Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

    I read proverbs:10 two days back. After reading that chapter I just felt that talking excessively is the nature of foolishness. I am not sure you would think same after reading it.

    If you're talking about "... and a chattering fool comes to ruin" (translation from here), then I can see how you came to that conclusion but it certainly doesn't fit with your first assertion that talking too much is "awful".

    Proverbs 10:19,20
    In the multitude of words sin is not lacking,

    But he who restrains his lips is wise.

    The tongue of the righteous is choice silver;
    The heart of the wicked is worth little.

    These two verses speak the stuff but the word 'awful' was a awful choice I made.
