    Question Work out

Hi. What's the meaning of "work out" in the following sentence?

"Within their [grammar, usage, and mechanics] limits, you select various strategies and work out those strategies in terms of words, sentences, paragraphs."

    Thanks,
    Nyggus

    Re: Work out

In that sentence "work out" means develop something...in this case a strategy...

    Re: Work out

    Thanks!

I know it is just a matter of style, but wouldn't this sentence look better if it is written as
"Within their limits, you select various strategies and work out these strategies in terms of words, sentences, and paragraphs"?

    Re: Work out

I see no need to repeat the noun- and work them out...

Indeed, I didn't noticed that. And what about my propositions, that is, the use of "these" instead of "those" and adding "and" before the last item in the list?
