    Tim hasn't reached that point.

"Tim hasn't reached that point yet. (I am a bit confused whether I can use a full stop here or not) From where he can say that he can teach or tutor children. He has to learn a lot himself."

    Please check.

    How about this?

Tim hasn't yet reached the point where he can say that he can teach or tutor children.

Yes, we can, but in writing we would capitalise neither 'stage' nor 'point'.
