    Did photography

I am not sure if my sentences sound natural. Would you please correct my mistakes?

The man saw photographs in my room and asked me if I did photography. I replied I did only as a hobby.

    Re: Did photography

I would use "... asked me if I was a photographer. I told him it was only a hobby."
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: Did photography

I am wondering if it is correct to use the phrase "do photography," like "do sport" or "do yoga" as a permanent activity.

It's comprehensible. I'd guess it's less common than the examples you cite.
    I am not a teacher.

    Re: Did photography

I use the expression 'do photography', as an amateur photographer myself.
