Hello.

Suppose that there is a table in the room. I would like to say that the table stands on the left-hand side of the window,

Should I say:

  • The table stands on the left-hand side of the window.
  • The table stands on the left of the window.
  • The table stands to the left of the window?

What do you think?

Thank you.

In my opinion, the three versions are all synonyms.

It's on the left-hand side of the window if it's attached to the window. That's not likely for a table.

On the left of the window doesn't work.

Your third sentence is correct if you end it with a period.
