A good book is a friend for the life.

    Hi,

A good book is a friend for the life.

Are these propositions correct? I am not sure about "the".

    Thanks.

A good book is a friend for life.

I consider 'a', 'an' and 'the' articles rather than 'propositions'.

You probably meant prepositions, though the words you were asking about were actually articles.
