    HelloThe following anchors and cables are to be installed onboard:Wire ropes are to be provided with closed socket cast with epoxy.What does "provided with closed socket cast with epoxy" mean?I haven't the slightest idea what the author meant.Thank you.

    Epoxy is a strong glue. A cast is a coating that solidifies. The closed socket will be coated with that glue, and it will be supplied in that way.

    It's like a partly open container. Think of half an egg, emptied out. It probably has a hole in it, and will probably contain a knot to hold one end of the rope in the socket.
