    could use somebody to explain...

    Are these sentences correct:

    1) I could really use somebody the explain this math problem to me.

    2) I could really use a pill to make me forget my problems.

    Gratefully,
    Navi.

Re: could use somebody to explain...

    The second is OK.
The first would be "I could really use an explanation of this problem" or "I could really use someone explaining this problem to me".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Re: could use somebody to explain...

    Thank you very much, Emsr2d2.

I mistyped the first one. My apologies. I reread it and still didn't see the typo.

    It was supposed to be:

    1) I could really use somebody to explain this math problem to me.

    Gratefully,
    Navi.

Even with the added word, it doesn't work for me.
