could you please tell me the meaning of the word "reside" in the following sentence:
The buyer may reduce or discontinue purchases of the goods because of a divestiture of the business in which the goods reside.
Does it mean in which the goods is located? I donīt know if it would make sense. Or could it also mean the business the subject of which is production of that particular goods?
Thank you very much.
From the context of your message, I'd agree with you that they mean the location in which the goods are currently located.
It sounds like it may be a public warehouse, or some similar business, and if or when it is bought by a new owner, the rules of purchase may change.
